I first purchased this cot when our oldest was staying at a friends house during the day while I worked; it was her nap time cot. As time went on it evolved into the cot that we would take along when we stayed in hotels or spent a few nights with family. We have also used it as a fun little treat during movie time on gloomy days...the cot, popcorn and a fuzzy blanket make a little kid very happy. Some people take it to the beach (if I were to do that I would buy a dedicated 'beach' one because of sand in crevices!). We now own two of these (one for each of our children) and take them on just about every road trip we embark on.
PROS:
-folds and unfolds very easily
-comes with a storage bag
-lightweight
-sturdy
-comfortable
-comes with a washable fitted sheet
-CHEAP! we paid less than $25 for each of these on Amazon.com or Walmart.com
CONS:
-the only con that I have found thus far is that one of the cots flattened down too far somehow and the girls could feel the support bars...I'm sure one or both of them caused this by jumping on it! At the price it was easy to replace so problem solved.
I bought one of these for each if my girls and it has come in handy many times over the last few weeks. Thanks for this awesome suggestion! It is so much easier to pop up this comfy pallet at 2am than to find an arm load of blankets in the closet and wonder if its soft enough.
